Job summary

GDI Ainsworth is seeking a Journeyman Electrician Service Technician to join our Everett, WA team. The role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical power, lighting, and control systems in commercial/industrial settings, with emphasis on commissioning and servicing BAS solutions.

The ideal candidate will hold an EL 01 Journeyman license, have a valid driver’s license, and be fluent in English.

• Ability to read and understand construction plans and specs.

Responsibilities

• Provide service and installation to electrical systems including power, lighting, and control systems.

• Install, wire, and commission BAS components per codes and standards.
• Assist site commissioning and verification of Building Automation Systems.

Job Summary

We are currently looking for a Journeyman (EL 01) Electrician Service Technician to join our growing Everett, WA team. As a Journeyman, you will install, maintain, and repair electrical power, lighting, and control systems in commercial and industrial environments. Additional duties will include commissioning and servicing of commercial building automation systems. This position requires a good working knowledge of basic electronic theory with a focused knowledge of electrical service.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide service and installation to our customer's electrical systems including power, lighting, and control systems.
• Repairs and maintains line voltage systems (above 120v).
• Repairs and maintains low voltage systems (under 120V).
• Appropriately handles and is familiar with all testing and electrical repair tools and equipment.
• Installs, wiring, BMS and other electrical system equipment and components in compliance with electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
• Assist in delivering BAS solutions to our customer base within the Construction/Operation Department.
• Assist with site commissioning, point to point verifications, troubleshooting and startup of a variety of Building Automation Systems.
• Perform tasks with minimum supervision and in accordance with Ainsworth Health & Safety policies and procedures
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• Perform all job functions in a safe and healthful manner, abiding by and in accordance with all applicable Health, Safety and Environmental company policies and government legislation/regulations.
• Adhere to the Company's Quality System operating procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management.

Qualifications

• Active EL 01 Journeyman Electrician License.
• Valid Driver's license.
• Fluent in English – both written and oral.
• The ability to read and understand construction plans and specs and product documentation.
• Medium physical duties, the ability to stand for long periods of time in a construction environment, the ability to climb ladders and at times work from heights.
• Good knowledge of the electrical trade and the Washington State Electrical Code.
• Adept at installing conduit and pulling wire

The pay range is $65 - $75 per hour. Actual salaries will vary based on factors such as education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as alignment with market data. The base salary is just one component of Ainsworth's total compensation package, which also includes additional rewards and benefits such as health insurance, among others
