Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking a Journeyman Electrician to assist in assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining electrical wiring and related equipment in industrial settings. You will work under supervision to diagnose and correct issues using test equipment and hand tools.

The role requires 3 years of experience and a valid Driver's License with a TDLR Card; applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.

Qualifications

3 years of experience in electrical work.
Valid Driver's License and TDLR Card.

Responsibilities

Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical/electronic wiring, equipment, appliances and fixtures.
Gather tools and supplies for the work site as directed by the electrician.
Measure, cut and bend wire and conduit using a ruler and hand tools.
Drill holes for wiring using a power drill and pull or push wiring through openings.
Trace short circuits in wiring using knowledge of wiring and test meter.
Assist in lifting, positioning or fastening objects such as wiring, conduit and motors.
Perform minor repairs such as replacing fuses, light sockets, bulbs and switches.
Disassemble defective electrical equipment and replace worn parts as needed.
Maintain current electrician's license or ID card to meet state regulations.
Other duties as assigned.
