Austin Industrial is seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician for on-site electrical installation, maintenance, and testing across industrial facilities. You will assemble, test, and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures while ensuring compliance with safety codes.

The role requires 4 years of journeyman experience and relevant licenses/certifications, with an emphasis on safety, documentation, and teamwork in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Qualifications

• Four years of Journeyman level experience required.
• Certifications/licenses: TDLR, NCCER, TWIC Card, and valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components for hazards and codes.
• Advise management on potential hazards and safe operation.
• Test electrical systems and continuity with meters and scopes to ensure safety and compatibility.
• Plan layout and installation of wiring and fixtures per specs and codes.
• Direct and train workers on installation and maintenance duties.
• Prepare sketches or follow blueprints to locate wiring per building plans.
• Repair or replace wiring, equipment, and fixtures as needed.
• Work from ladders/scaffolds/roofs; use PPE and follow safety guidelines.
