Job summary

TIC_Craft is seeking an experienced electrical technician to plan, lay out, install, test and repair wiring, fixtures, motors, equipment and control systems in accordance with plans, specs and codes. The role covers high and low voltage work, conduit installation, and system startup with a focus on safety.

The candidate will read drawings, troubleshoot problems, and ensure adherence to contract requirements while performing quality control and collaborating with supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with field experience.
• Strong working knowledge for the role.
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate with supervision.

Responsibilities

• Interpret drawings and determine procedures, tools, and materials.
• Install conduit, cable, and duct banks; weld supports and make terminations.
• Install control and distribution equipment and secure it in place.
• Test systems and ensure circuit safety and compatibility.
• Observe equipment to identify hazards and needed adjustments.
• Work with high and low voltage systems.
• Disassemble and repair electrical equipment as needed.
• Operate hand, power, hydraulic, pneumatic tools.
• Estimate sizes, distances, quantities, and time for tasks.
• Inspect workers' output for compliance and take corrective action.
