Qualifications

Responsibilities

Journeyman Electrician – Commercial Construction

This is an opportunity for an electrician who lives in or near Eagle County and wants steady commercial work closer to home rather than commuting to Denver or traveling extensively for projects.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in clean, professional installations, works well with other trades, and can be relied on to help keep a project safe, organized, and on schedule.

Position Summary

As a Journeyman Electrician, you will perform electrical installation and troubleshooting on commercial construction projects in the Avon / Vail Valley area.

You should be comfortable reading plans, laying out work, installing conduit and electrical systems, coordinating with other trades, and working independently without constant supervision.

This position is particularly well suited for an experienced local electrician looking for a stable opportunity with a growing Colorado contractor.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical work on commercial construction projects in Avon and the surrounding Vail Valley.
• Complete rough-in, trim-out, fixture installation, equipment connections, and punch-list work.
• Bend and install EMT and rigid conduit, MC cable, boxes, panels, transformers, lighting systems, branch circuits, feeders, and related equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, panel schedules, and one-line diagrams.
• Lay out work based on plans, field conditions, and project requirements.
• Coordinate with project leadership, general contractors, inspectors, and other trades.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues during construction and project closeout.
• Complete installations safely, accurately, and in accordance with NEC and local code requirements.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
• Help train and support apprentices and less-experienced electricians when assigned.
• Track job progress, materials, and field information using company job-management tools.

Required Qualifications

• Active Colorado Journeyman Electrician License.
• Commercial electrical construction experience.
• Ability to read and work from commercial electrical plans and specifications.
