Job Overview

Responsibilities

• Perform troubleshooting, installation, maintenance, and repair of medium- and high-voltage systems, including overhead and underground lines, substations, and related equipment.
• Ensure all work is completed following safety procedures and guidelines.
• Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to complete projects on time and within budget.
• Diagnose problems, complete repairs, splice, terminate, and test cables.

Qualifications

• Journeyman lineman and high-voltage certification.
• 4+ years of experience as a high-voltage electrician, including apprenticeship.
• Strong understanding of electrical principles and safety procedures.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Physical ability to move heavy objects, work in all weather conditions, and from heights or confined spaces.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent; valid driver's license; Michigan journeyman license preferred.
