Job summary

HM Cragg, a 100% employee-owned leader in critical backup power systems, is seeking a Journeyman Electrician in Omaha, NE. The role offers extensive travel (up to 75%), overtime opportunities, and a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

You will work on installations and maintenance of electrical systems, with company-provided tools and a vehicle. Ideal candidates have an active Nebraska Journeyman license, knowledge of DC power equipment, generators, and transfer switches, and a strong safety record.

Qualifications

• Active Journeyman Electrician license in Nebraska.
• Strong knowledge of DC power equipment, telecommunications, switchgear & control, and UPS industries.
• Strong knowledge of generators, transfer switches, and distribution equipment.
• Adheres to safety training, compliance, and DOT/HAZ MAT requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled electrical work in installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems.
• Install and replace backup generator systems.
• Determine modifications needed when obstructions arise during installation.
• Communicate effectively with Electrical Manager/Master Electrician and across departments.
• Work from wiring diagrams, schematics, sketches, blueprints, or verbal instructions.
• Proficient with standard electrician tools and testing instruments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
