The Utilities Division is seeking a skilled and experienced Streetlight Maintenance Journeyman Electrician to support our team in San Antonio, TX. JOB SUMMARY:

The Utilities Division is looking for an experienced Streetlight Maintenance Journeyman Electrician, or a Lineman, that will support the Utilities team with installing and maintaining electrical wiring, fixtures, and systems for streetlight installations and maintenance per plans and specifications.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Install and repair electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in streetlights.

· Install various electrical components.

· Troubleshoot secondary systems.

· Identify primary and secondary voltage on circuits.

· Safely operate a bucket truck.

· Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and any issues encountered on the job site.

· Submit completed paperwork via use of an IPad.

· Follow all safety policies and guidelines set by HJD Capital Electric.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

· 3+ years of experience pulling wire, installing conduit, and installing fixtures.

· Journeyman/Lineman license in the state of Texas or Lineman equivalent to Journeyman.

· Basic knowledge and experience of operating hand and power tools.

· Willing to learn from supervisor the use of locator for underground wire systems.

· Experience working on streetlights and can drive a bucket truck.

· Able to size wire, read drawings, and interpret blueprints.

· Capable of working in confined spaces and at heights.

· Familiar with induced voltage and grounding procedures.

· Able to check voltage on transformers.

· Experience working outdoors in extreme weather conditions (heat and cold).

· Physical capability to carry up to 50 lbs. and perform manual labor.

· Strong attention to detail and initiative to perform additional tasks when needed.

· Must have a safety-first mindset to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
