Job summary

The role includes on-call duties, testing of power distribution and life-safety systems, and ensuring safe work practices and compliance with codes. Minnesota license and several years of hands-on experience are required.

Qualifications

• A two-year technical degree or an associate degree in electrical systems or related field.
• Four years electrical apprenticeship training required.
• Minnesota Class “A” Journeyworker license or an “A” Master Electrician license required.
• Minnesota driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and repair of electrical equipment and building electrical infrastructure.
• Perform electrical installations under direction of the Electrical Master of Record.
• Replace electrical equipment and system components.
• Diagnostics and repair of electrical, electronics, and mechanical systems.
• Provide on-call support for electrical infrastructure and building equipment.
• Test with digital meters and diagnostic tools; evaluate loads and energy savings.
• Ensure safe electrical work practices and compliance testing; document results.
• Test emergency and life-safety systems per code and Joint Commission CMS.
