Job summary

Bilt Electric is seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician to join our San Diego County team. This family-run local business values reliability and craftsmanship, with occasional travel to projects outside the county.

Responsibilities include installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, reading plans, and ensuring work meets NEC and local codes. Travel to job sites is required as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid journeyman electrician license or certification required.
• Experience working as a journeyman electrician.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring methods, and applicable codes.
• Able to work in commercial and residential settings.
• Willingness to travel outside San Diego County when required.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, electrical plans, and wiring diagrams.
• Perform electrical work in accordance with the NEC and applicable local codes.
• Diagnose electrical problems and complete repairs safely and efficiently.
• Use electrical testing equipment and standard hand and power tools.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Communicate professionally with customers, coworkers, contractors, and inspectors.
• Travel to job sites throughout San Diego County and occasionally outside the county.
