POSITION: Journeyman Electrician (Lighting Retrofit Technician) (Full Time)

JOB LOCATION: Washington DC
Pay Range (All offers will be based on experience):
- USD $32.50 - USD $36.50 /hour
- Additionally, there is a hiring bonus for bringing a complete crew
Qualifications / Skills Sets / Expectations:
- Four (4) years of experience working in the electrical industry. High School diploma or GED required
- License - Electrical Journeyman in the County/State of the Project
- Two years' experience at journeyman level in an industrial / commercial environment
- Licensed Electrical Journeyman or ability to obtain license within 3 months of hire (Required)
- Must successfully pass a background check and drug test
- Reliable Transportation
Responsibilities:
- Install lighting fixtures, lamps, ballasts, controls, or other items associated with lighting systems
- Work safely to avoid damage or disturbance to customer's facilities
- Work from ladders, scaffolds, or roofs to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures
- Perform physically demanding tasks while using basic and specialized tools
- Understand and conform to government/local regulations, ordinances, and safety guidelines related to lighting and retrofit work
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel
- Maintain reliability and demonstrate strong communication skills
- Hands-on experience with electrical materials and components; punchlist experience
- Complete OSHA 10 or 30 training, or ability to do so
- Use and care of electrical tools and equipment
- Be hardworking, reliable, detail-oriented, with a positive attitude and initiative
- Flexibility, multi-tasking, sense of urgency, and willingness to perform non-trade tasks
- Ability to read technical documents and drawings, and follow safety guidelines
Physical Abilities:
- Lifts at least 50 pounds; relocates a 12-foot stepladder
- Works at heights up to 60 feet, climbing scaffolds, lifts, ladders
- Performs routine physical activities: walking, climbing, lifting, squatting, crawling, kneeling, pushing, pulling, reaching
- Good vision (corrected if needed), hearing, and communication skills
- Recognize potential problems and apply general rules to specific issues
