Job Description:
To qualify for this role, you must be able to deploy and be on long-term assignment on Kwajalein Island in the Marshall Islands.
POSITION OVERVIEW
Performs essential electrical tasks required in the construction and renovation of family housing units. The incumbent must exercise good interpersonal and technical skills while adhering to required safety standards and building codes.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Installs, maintains, and repairs electrical systems and components, including wiring, circuit breakers, outlets, and lighting fixtures.
- Follows blueprints, building plans, and sketches to meet the needs of clients.
- Inspects electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, ensuring compliance with codes.
- Tests electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes.
- Ensures compliance with local building codes, and adheres to safety regulations.
- Collaborates with other construction professionals, including carpenters and plumbers, to ensure project requirements are met.
- Assists in the installation of electrical systems in new buildings and the renovation of existing electrical systems.
- Works directly with project managers, engineers, and other construction professionals to review plans and make recommendations for improvements.
- Assists in coordinating specific project schedules by working with other electricians, laborers, and required construction resources. Reviews and verifies materials to ensure conformance to project specifications.
- Serves as part of a functional team or works independently to complete assignments according to scheduled deadlines.
- Performs other responsibilities associated with this position, as appropriate.

- Project Manager, Superintendent, Supervising Electrician, Lead Electrician
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- 10+ years of related work experience in electrical work, including installation, maintenance, and repair.
SKILLS/COMPETENCIES
- Good written and oral communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of electrical tools and equipment
- Accuracy, attention to detail, consistency, and clarity in conformance with required building codes and safety standards.
Physical Requirements:
- Tool belts and Tools, recommended.
- OSHA Safety 30-Hour Certification
- Journeyman Electrician License or Masters, preferred.
- 10+ years of minimum experience in the electrician trade
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a supervisory roll including, but not limited to, supervising employees, making schedules, and managing daily operations.
- Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time.
- Able to work dayshift or nightshift.
- Exposure to working outdoors in all-weather condition.
- Ability to Relocate: Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands.
- Valid Driver’s License with good record of driving
- Valid US passport
