Job summary

Cupertino Electric is seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems on commercial and industrial projects. The role requires reading blueprints, following NEC and local codes, and ensuring safety and quality on site.

You will lead apprentices, collaborate with project teams, and uphold OSHA standards while working in a fast-paced environment across multiple sites. Strong troubleshooting and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

Journeyman Electrician Certification or State License preferred.
Minimum of 4 years of Journeyman experience in commercial/industrial construction.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve electrical issues independently.
Proficiency in using electrical hand tools and power tools.
Understanding of OSHA safety standards and maintaining a safe work environment.
Good communication and interpersonal skills with team members and supervisors.
Ability to work in physically demanding environments, including lifting and climbing.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, modify, and repair electrical systems per NEC and local codes.
Read blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to understand project specs.
Install conduit, wiring, breakers, transformers, and control equipment as required.
Perform inspections, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure safety and function.
Lead apprentices and provide on-the-job training.
Ensure compliance with IBEW agreements and company policies.
Report progress and issues to foreman and project managers.
Participate in safety briefings and on-site training.
