Job summary

Bergelectric is seeking a Journeyman Electrician in Santa Fe, NM to install, repair, and test electrical systems across commercial, industrial, and residential sites. This safety-sensitive role requires reading blueprints, wiring control panels, and ensuring compliance with codes and Bergelectric policies.

The position involves supervising tasks, training crews, and coordinating with foremen to maintain productivity and professionalism on diverse job sites under varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current Journeyman Wireman license (as required by state/county).
• Ability to install power systems: lighting, fire protection, security, and data networks.
• Experience reading Electrical Single Line blueprints.
• Experience finding and repairing faults in electrical apparatus and circuits.
• Ability to manage material estimates and lead crew members.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, maintain, and test electrical systems in commercial, industrial and residential settings.
• Use industry-related hand tools and power tools.
• Measure, cut, bend, thread, and install wiring and cables and conduit systems.
• Feed, pull, and terminate wires in control centers, transformers, switchgear, and outlets.
• Splice and terminate wires at junction points.
• Troubleshoot equipment and build control panels from drawings.
• Prepare sketches and diagrams showing wiring locations.
• Delegate tasks and assist training other employees.
• Communicate with foremen and crew members.
• Maintain workflow to meet productivity objectives.
