Job summary

Bergelectric is seeking a Journeyman for assignments on commercial, industrial and residential projects. You will install, repair and test electrical systems while ensuring compliance with NFPA, NEC, and Bergelectric policies.

This safety-sensitive role requires reliable teamwork and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Responsibilities include installing and wiring power systems, panels, and conduit; reading single-line diagrams; troubleshooting faults; and mentoring helpers.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current Journeyman Wireman license where required.
• Experience installing and repairing commercial, industrial, and residential electrical systems.
• Ability to read and use Electrical Single Line diagrams.
• Experience wiring control panels and maintaining electrical equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and fault repair skills.
• Ability to manage projects and lead crews.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, maintain, and test electrical systems across commercial, industrial, and residential sites.
• Use hand and power tools to install wiring, conduit, and cable systems.
• Feed, pull, and terminate wiring in control centers and switchgear.
• Splice and terminate wires at junctions.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems and fabricate control panels from drawings.
• Create sketches and schematics of wiring locations.
• Delegate tasks and train other employees.
• Coordinate with foremen and crew members to keep schedules.
• Maintain safety and workmanship standards.
