Job summary

Encore Electric, Inc. is a licensed Wyoming Electrical Contractor seeking skilled Journeyman electricians in Cheyenne. The role directs Apprentices and Journeymen on commercial construction and service projects, with base pay plus a job-site incentive.

Expect 40–58 hours per week, Mon–Sat, and long‑term opportunities with training and advancement. We offer housing for travelers, full benefits, paid schooling, and a stable backlog-driven pipeline.

Qualifications

• Four years of apprenticeship training or three years of apprenticeship training with two-year degree from technical college.
• Journeyman Wireman license from the State of Wyoming or reciprocal state; high energy and urgency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directs the tasks of Apprentices and Journeymen electricians.
• Participates in commercial electrical construction and service work.
• Maintains safety and professional conduct on job sites.
• Ensures work is installed to high quality and compliance with codes.

OVERVIEW

The Journeyman directs the tasks of Apprentices and potentially other Journeymen electricians and participates in commercial electrical construction and service work.

• COMPENSATION: Base pay (depending on experience) + extra hourly job site incentive
• HOURS: 40-58 hours per week, Mon-Sat (schedule subject to change)

General Responsibilities

Physical Requirements

A functional physical is required to be completed and passed before work can be performed in all field positions. The physical requirements can often be completed repetitively and for extended periods of time. These requirements include:

• Lifting, floor to waist (up to 50lbs)
• Lifting, waist to overhead (up to 30lbs each arm)

• Trimming (final installation of electrical devices)

Requirements

• Degree in related field is required such as four years of apprenticeship training or three years of apprenticeship training with two year degree from technical college.
• A Journeyman Wireman’s license from the State of Wyoming or reciprocating State is required. High level of energy and sense of urgency are preferred.
