Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a Journeyman Electrician to plan, lay out, install, test, and repair wiring and control systems on critical infrastructure projects. This role demands adherence to NEC standards, safety first, and coordination with the project team on complex site work.

Expect a multi-site construction environment with heavy field activity, pre-job safety commitments, and documentation of work efforts to ensure quality and compliance with plans and specifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience as an industrial electrician or equivalent training.
• Strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
• Must be 18+ and have licenses/certifications for the jurisdiction of work.

Responsibilities

• Plan, lay out, install, test and repair wiring, fixtures, motors and control systems per plans and codes.
• Follow safety processes and participate in pre-job safety discussions.
• Maintain clean, safe work environment and coordinate with other trades on site.
• Read and interpret plans, one-line diagrams, cable schedules and loop diagrams.
