Job summary

Emory Electric in South Carolina is actively seeking journeyman electricians to support commercial electrical installations in Greenville, Anderson and Greer. The role involves installing electrical systems in new construction, upfit and remodel projects, under a foreman.

Candidates should have 3–5 years of field experience, be able to measure, bend and install conduit, pull wires, terminate panels and set fixtures, while maintaining safety and coordinating with the foreman.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years experience installing electrical systems in commercial applications.
• Experience with inspections and working with various inspectors.
• Trade certifications are beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

• Install electrical systems in new construction, upfit and remodel projects.
• Measure, bend, thread and install conduit (MC, EMT, rigid raceways, PVC).
• Set up for wire install, pull wire, terminate panels, install devices.
• Maintain safety and ensure material needs are communicated to foreman.
• Work under supervision of crew leader or foreman with minimal oversight.

We are actively seeking experienced journeyman electricians in the Greenville, Anderson, and Greer areas!

Salary Range: $26-$30 per hour depending on experience

Purpose and Function:

The purpose of this position is to install electrical systems in new construction, upfit and remodel projects. This position will work directly under the supervision of a crew leader or foreman and should require minimal oversight and guidance. Tasks which are expected to be performed include but are not limited to;

• Experience measuring, bending, threading and installing electrical conduit to include MC, EMT, ridged raceways and PVC. Installation to be completed at grade level, elevated heights from ladders and lifts or in ditches as needed
• Properly and efficiently set up for wire install, pulling wire and operating wire tuggers
• Capable of terminating panels, setting fixtures, installing devices, installing cable tray
• Must be well organized, able to work efficiently and demonstrate good time management skills
• Ensure special equipment needs are communicated to the foreman
• Interpret and understand job drawings to facilitate install of electrical system
• Ability to establish material list and ensure material needs are communicated to the foreman
• Ability to achieve the weekly benchmark objectives established by the foreman
• Maintain familiarity with the plans, schedule and expectations for job based upon directives of foreman
• Ensure safe work practices and maintain a safe work environment for all personnel.
• Utilize all assigned PPE as appropriate for the hazards encountered
• Maintain a positive work environment which promotes a culture of safety and open communication
• Maintain a personal tool cache including hand tools, drill, drivers and all necessary attachments

Education, Training and Experience:

• Experience (3-5 years or more) completing project installation of electrical systems in the commercial electrical industry.
• Experience working in the field completing assigned tasks and functions.
• Experience with trade inspections, dealing with various jurisdictions and inspectors.
• Associated trade certifications are beneficial but are not required

Physical and Other Requirements:

• Must be able to sit, bend, stoop.
• Must be able to lift items up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to climb, crawl and squat as the job demands
