Job description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician with a strong background in heavy industrial projects, including wastewater treatment facilities and the food processing industry. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with complex electrical systems, including electrical controls, and will be comfortable working in dynamic environments with evolving project needs.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Install, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical systems and control panels.
  2. Read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documents.
  3. Perform conduit bending, panel wiring, terminations, and system startups.
  4. Collaborate with other trades and project managers to ensure project completion.
  5. Maintain a high standard of safety, quality, and productivity on all worksites.
  6. Document installations and service work using tools such as Bluebeam and Microsoft Excel.
  7. Participate in field coordination and clash detection reviews using tools such as Navisworks.
  8. Perform material takeoffs and compile material requisitions for procurement.
  9. Provide mentoring and support to apprentices when applicable.
Required Qualifications
  1. Valid Massachusetts Journeyman Electrician License.
  2. Minimum 5 years of experience in heavy industrial electrical work.
  3. Demonstrated knowledge of electrical controls and instrumentation.
  4. Experience working with PVC-coated rigid conduit and stainless steel conduit.
  5. Familiarity with OSHA safety standards; OSHA 10 certification required.
  6. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  7. Ability and willingness to travel to various job sites as needed.
  8. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Bluebeam; Navisworks familiarity is a plus.
  9. Strong communication and organizational skills.
  10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Experience
  1. Work in municipal infrastructure, wastewater treatment plants, or food manufacturing facilities.
  2. Experience in managing or leading crews on-site.
  3. Participation in startup and commissioning of electrical systems.
