Job summary

Kidwell is seeking a Journeyman Electrician for the Lincoln, NE area. You will install and repair electrical systems from drawings, ensuring quality, safety, and compliance with codes.

Lead efforts with project teams, train apprentices, and keep schedules on track. Qualified candidates will have a Nebraska Journeyman license, 6+ years field experience (2+ as Journeyman preferred), and strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• State license required for journeyman electricians.
• Minimum 6 years of field experience with 2+ years as Journeyman preferred.
• Strong technical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team while maintaining safety.
• Willingness to pass a physical, background check, and drug screen; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Install and repair electrical systems per plans, codes, and scope.
• Read drawings/blueprints and execute high‑quality installations.
• Collaborate with PMs and other trades; manage change orders and RFIs.
• Mentor apprentices on the jobsite to build capable teams.
• Prioritize daily tasks to maintain progress and timelines.
• Coordinate with GC and other contractors on site.
• Maintain a safe work environment meeting OSHA standards.
• Communicate progress, material needs, and issues to supervisors.
