Job summary

The County of San Diego is seeking an Electrician to perform installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems across county facilities. You will work within a team that handles time-critical repairs and preventive maintenance to ensure building systems operate reliably.

Qualified applicants will have multiple years of journey-level electrical experience, plus a valid Electrical Contractors License.

Qualifications

• Four or more years of full-time work experience in general electrical work.
• At least two years journey-level experience performing skilled electrical work in a building trade.
• Possession of a current Electrical Contractors License issued by the State of California or other recognized state agency.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical devices and systems within commercial facilities.
• Prepare detailed estimates for time, materials, and equipment required for maintenance and repair projects.
• Respond to incidents by inspecting electrical systems and coordinating repairs based on issue complexity.
• Oversee maintenance and operation of generators.
