Job summary

New Mexico Department of Health seeks a skilled electrician for the New Mexico Behavioral Health Institute (NMBHI). You will perform electrical maintenance across campus, inspect panels, disconnects and fuses, and ensure safe operation in varying weather conditions.

The ideal candidate holds a NM journeyman license, a valid NM driver’s license, and a Defensive Driving Certificate, with at least six months of related electrical experience.

Qualifications

• Must have journeyman license.
• Must possess a valid NM driver’s license.
• Defensive Driving Certificate required.
• Six months minimum experience in electrical maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Check electrical panels for loose connections on terminals.
• Maintenance on electrical equipment located on all buildings throughout the campus.
• Check electrical disconnects and fuses for proper amperage.
