Job summary

The State of Wyoming seeks a skilled Journeyman Electrician to maintain and upgrade electrical distribution, fire alarm, and protection systems for base facilities in Cheyenne. You will work with engineers and contractors to ensure code-compliant designs and timely project execution.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, circuit installation, and troubleshooting of complex electrical systems, with opportunities to support multi-trade tasks and field inspections.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of electrical principles and practices for maintaining a functioning electrical system, including high and low voltage.
• Specialized systems such as fire alarms and security systems.
• Ability to work with generators, controls, and motors.

Responsibilities

• Maintain electrical components through preventative maintenance and repairs.
