Qualifications

The (USA) Journeyman Electrician, Facility Services, is responsible for performing routine preventive maintenance and repairs to ensure the safety, functionality, and appearance of facilities and equipment. This role involves diagnosing electrical issues, conducting inspections, and executing repairs using multiple craft skills while adhering to safety and regulatory standards. The position requires managing work orders, coordinating with contractors, and maintaining accurate documentation. The Journeyman Electrician supports emergency response efforts and participates in on-call rotations to address critical facility needs promptly, contributing to the overall operational excellence of Walmart’s facilities.

What you’ll do:

What you’ll bring:

• Proven experience performing preventive maintenance and repairs on electrical systems and facility equipment.


• Ability to interpret blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs to diagnose and resolve issues.


• Skilled in using hand and power tools, hoists, and material handling equipment safely and effectively.


• Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations to ensure compliance and maintain a safe work environment.


• Strong documentation skills for maintenance activities, work orders, and warranty claims.


• Capability to manage maintenance schedules, coordinate contractors, and track parts and expenses.


• Willingness to participate in on-call rotations and respond promptly to emergency maintenance needs.

The hourly wage range for this position is $33.00 - $63.00*.

The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.

Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications

• 2 years’ experience in the electrical trade.

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of a 2-year Vocational or Technical trade program, Experience using intermediate level functionality of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (for example, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
