Job summary

Walmart in Lucedale, MS is seeking a Journeyman Electrician for the Facility Services team. You will perform routine preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs to keep Walmart facilities safe and functional.

The role requires diagnosing electrical issues, coordinating maintenance with managers and contractors, and maintaining accurate work orders and documentation. Shifts may vary; full-time employment with competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 2 years’ experience in the electrical trade.
• Licensed Journeyman Electrician or equivalent in state of work.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license.
• License in related trade in city and/or state of work
• Completion of a 2-year Vocational or Technical trade program (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs on electrical systems and facility equipment following established schedules and safety guidelines.
• Inspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot electrical issues using blueprints, manuals, and specialized tools to ensure proper functionality and compliance.
• Document maintenance activities, repair needs, and capital expense information accurately to support operational decisions.
• Manage work orders, coordinate with contractors, and ensure quality standards and regulatory compliance are met.
• Respond promptly to emergency calls and participate in on-call rotations to support critical facility needs.
• Operate and maintain vehicles and powered equipment safely in accordance with company policies.
