Responsibilities

• Measuring, cutting, bending, threading, assembling, and installing conduit
• Overseeing, or participating in, wire installations with conduit & cable tray
• Connecting power to equipment
• The ability to lead/develop up to 4 apprentice electricians
• Knowledge of other construction trades
• Ability to stand, walk ,and lift up to 100 lbs in construction work environment
• Ability to climb, and maintain balance, on ladders and scaffolds while carrying tools
• May be exposed to high and precarious places
• Risk of electrical shock and outside weather conditions
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required
• Other duties may be assigned

Qualifications

Education/Experience: We are looking for electricians with experience using, or the desire to learn, the latest BIM/VDC technologies for pre-planning and on-site coordination of all our projects.

• State issued Journeyman Electrician License

• Respect for colleagues, supervisors, and clients.

• Strong commitment to following safety protocols and guidelines.

Location and Travel

This is a permanent/full-time position with Interstates and requires traveling around the Des Moines, IA region(typically within 200 miles of the office). Applicants must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.

Candidates should be comfortable working in these conditions and complying with safety standards to protect their well-being.
