Role Overview:


The Journeyman Lead performs installation and repair of complex electrical systems, oversees less experienced electricians, and trains apprentices. Ensures all work meets high standards and safety requirements.


  • Rate of pay: $40.74
  • Day Shift: 6 am - 6 pm, 2-2-3 schedule

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Maintain, inspect, and modify electrical equipment, technologies, and processes.
  • Lead plant projects and coordinate with contractors.
  • Perform preventive maintenance of electrical circuits.
  • Install new electrical circuits.
  • Bend and install electrical conduit following all codes.
  • Troubleshoot electrical circuits, motors, and controls.
  • Assist plant production troubleshoot electrical issues.
  • Maintain a safe work environment.
  • Comply with NEC standards and codes.
  • Read blueprints and electrical drawings.
  • Provide coverage for maintenance manager when needed.

Other Duties:


  • Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Follow safety policies and support safety programs.
    • Report unsafe acts and hazards.
    • Support safety policies and initiatives.

Requirements to Join Our Team:


Education:


  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Electrical trade coursework required.
  • Equivalent education and experience may be considered.

Experience:


  • Minimum four years of electrical trade experience.
  • Experience reading electrical prints and troubleshooting circuits.
  • Experience with three-phase motors, transformers, and control circuits.

Certifications:


  • State Master’s or Journeyman Electrician license required.

Skills:


  • Effective communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Sound decision-making within policies and laws.
  • Ability to work independently and adapt quickly.
  • Technical knowledge and quick learning ability.
  • Basic math, fractions, decimals, percentages, algebra.

Work Location:


  • Our Little Chute, WI plant employs about 95 staff, producing IQF sticks for the appetizer industry. Nearby is Simon’s Specialty Cheese store, a Wisconsin-themed shop with about 20 employees.
