Job summary

Pearce Services seeks a Journeyman Electrician to support critical electrical infrastructure in live data center environments. You will perform preventive maintenance, inspections, testing, and authorized corrective work under the Electrical Foreperson, handling substations, transformers, UPS systems, and power distribution equipment.

You will read diagrams, follow procedures, and document readings, with a focus on safety, quality, and uptime.

Qualifications

• Four or more years of commercial/industrial electrical experience.
• Current Journeyman Electrician credential or equivalent.
• Experience with medium- and low-voltage systems.
• Familiarity with switchgear, transformers, generators, ATS, UPS, and battery systems.
• Lockout/Tagout and arc-flash safety knowledge.
• Ability to read one-line diagrams and electrical drawings.
• Experience with electrical test equipment and documenting readings.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• CMMS or work-order systems experience preferred.
• Data center or mission-critical facility exposure preferred.
• OSHA/NFPA70E training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, testing, and corrective work on critical electrical infrastructure.
• Follow approved work orders, MOPs, SOPs, OEM procedures, and site requirements.
• Support maintenance on switchgear, transformers, generators, ATS, UPS, and power distribution equipment.
• Inspect, read equipment readings, test, and document system conditions.
• Complete low-voltage repairs, installations, and circuit work.
• Assist OEM teams during planned maintenance activities.
• Identify abnormal conditions and escalate safety concerns.
• Support incident response and equipment isolation as needed.
• Adhere to Lockout/Tagout and arc-flash safety procedures.
• Maintain accurate work orders, inspection records, and reports.
