Job description

Journeyman Electrician (Controls Experience) (Construction)

The Electrical Journeyman - Controls is responsible for installing high-quality electrical field work and taking measures to increase the company's effectiveness and efficiency.

Job Roles & Responsibilities:
  1. Installation of EMT conduit, Uni-strut supports, Basket Tray, and other electrical components.
  2. Installation on control, network cables associated with ASI bus and PLC inputs/outputs.
  3. Install, maintain, and repair electrical control systems and components.
  4. Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical problems and malfunctions.
  5. Inspect and test electrical systems to ensure proper functioning.
  6. Read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
  7. Adhere to all electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
  8. Perform regular maintenance on electrical systems to prevent breakdowns.
  9. Provide technical support and guidance to team members and customers.
Job Qualifications:
  1. 5+ years' experience in electrical control systems.
  2. Journeyman Electrician license (preferred).
  3. Familiarity with PLCs, VFDs, and electrical control panels.
  4. Knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
  5. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
  6. Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
