Job summary

Facility Solutions Group in Denver, CO is seeking a Journeyman Electrician to install, maintain and repair electrical systems, following blueprints and safety codes. You will prepare wiring layouts, plan installations to minimize waste, work from ladders or scaffolds, and ensure continued operation of equipment while meeting attendance standards.

The role requires High School diploma and 3–5 years' experience; license preferred; valid driver’s license; strong communication skills and customer

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Three to five years of field experience.
• Current Electrician’s License preferred but not required.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to multitask while staying organized; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepares sketches or follows diagrams and blueprints for wiring before walls/ceilings are completed.
• Plans installations to minimize waste and ensure maintenance access per codes.
• Plan layout and install electrical wiring, equipment or fixtures per specifications and local codes.
• Install switches, relays, circuit-breaker panels and power systems; install Buss/Busbar and feeders.
• Repair faulty equipment or systems.
• Work from ladders, scaffolds, or roofs to install or repair wiring and fixtures.
• Advise management on potential hazards of operating equipment.
• Maintain license/identification to meet governmental regulations.

Job Scope

• Prepares sketches showing location of wiring and equipment, or follows diagrams or blueprints, ensuring that concealed wiring is installed before completion of future walls, ceilings, and flooring.
• Plans new or modified installations to minimize waste of materials, provide access for future maintenance, and avoid unsightly, hazardous, and unreliable wiring, consistent with specifications, safety codes and local electrical codes.
• Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.
• Installs control and distribution apparatus such as switches, relays, and circuit-breaker panels; installs Buss, Busbar, electrical feeders, power systems and/or switchgear.
• Repairs faulty equipment or systems.
• Work from ladders, scaffolds, or roofs to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures.
• Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.
• Meets attendance standards and complies with late/absence notification procedures.
• Maintain current electrician's license or identification card to meet governmental regulations.
