Job summary

Lamar University seeks an experienced electrician for routine electrical work, installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems. Role reports to the Electrical Supervisor within Facilities Maintenance and involves climbing, heavy lifting, and working from lifts in an essential position.

Qualifications

• Formal vocational training in electrical field.
• Journeyman license required or preferred (Texas).
• Valid Texas driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance on electrical systems.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance to extend system life.
• Review work orders, estimate time/materials, manage supplies and materials.
• Complete safety and job-specific trainings as directed.
