Job summary

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of electrician education or training associate with required license or certification.
• Other related education/experience may substitute for part of requirements.

Responsibilities

• Installs, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs electrical systems in campus buildings.
• Reads and interprets blueprints, manuals, schematics, and building plans.
• Diagnoses electrical problems and determines repairs or replacements.
• Performs routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs to reduce malfunctions.
• Ensures work complies with electrical codes, laws, regulations, and safety practices.
• Uses hand tools, power tools, meters, and testing equipment safely.
• Prepares material estimates and maintains inventory of parts and tools.
• Additional duties to support department and college.
