OminOn Power is currently seeking a Journeyman Electrician for the West region.

The preferred location for this role is Los Angeles, California.

Role Responsibilities

• Install electrical frameworks and detect and correct faults in existing electrical systems.
• Carry standard equipment and parts at all times.
• Perform inspections, conduct assessments, and work with customers to identify issues requiring attention.
• Install and restore electrical frameworks.
• Communicate with customers, perform inspections, diagnose issues, and address each task effectively.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Apply critical thinking across all facets of electrical work.
• Commit to continuous learning and mentor apprentices.
• Select the most appropriate course of action considering project constraints.
• Install and maintain wires, plugs, panelboards, switchgear, and switchboards.
• Set up and maintain electrical machinery.
• Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate stock.
• Log time and resources for cost calculation.
• Follow all relevant safety regulations.
• Serve as the company's qualifier for electrical contractor licenses in multiple states.
• Install and service industrial equipment, including DC power systems.
• Supervise internal and subcontractor teams during installation or servicing of industrial equipment.

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Completion of a relevant apprenticeship program.
• Valid state license as a journeyman electrician.
• At least four years of experience as a journeyman electrician.
• Willingness to maintain a valid driver's license.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Willingness to travel 100% with overnight stays.
• Ability to obtain Electrical Contractor Qualifier Licenses or reciprocity in multiple states as required.

Desired Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Prior field engineering experience.
• Strong organizational, leadership, and project management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in telecommunications, data centers, or other critical power facilities.
