Job summary

Kiewit is seeking an experienced electrician to plan, lay out, install, test and repair wiring, electrical fixtures, motors, equipment and control systems in accordance with plans, specifications, codes and industry standards.

The role requires installing conduit, cable, and duct banks, wiring terminations, and testing systems for safety and compatibility. Applicants should be able to work outdoors, in confined spaces, and in all weather conditions, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with experience in the field
• Strong working knowledge and abilities for the position
• Ability to understand and transmit written and oral instructions clearly

Responsibilities

• Interpret drawings, sketches, and plans to determine best work procedures and tools
• Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install conduit; weld supports
• Install and secure control and distribution apparatus
• Test systems and ensure circuit continuity and safety
• Inspect and correct deficiencies to contract plans
• Operate a range of hand, power, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical tools
• Estimate sizes, quantities, and time, costs, resources, or materials
