Must currently be a Steelcase Skilled Trades Journeyman Electrician.

Comments/Job Expectations/Responsibilities:
  • Work under minimal supervision to install, service, and repair a variety of complicated electrical equipment and circuits.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot electrical malfunctions, diagnosing and correcting problems quickly to prevent production delays.
  • Install electrical conduit and controls.
  • Work from prints following the National and Michigan Electrical Code.
  • Assist in training/mentoring apprentices, supplemental/contract labor, and peers when called upon.
  • Ability to work in elevated positions.
  • Work at all Steelcase facilities as required.

  • Positive attitude, proven performance, and good attendance record.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Self-directed, independent problem solver, effective with limited supervision.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks based on criticality.
  • Proven troubleshooting skills.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing conditions.
