Job summary

Noveon Magnetics in San Marcos, Texas is seeking a Journeyman Electrician (3rd shift) to support factory standup, electrical hookup, control wiring and panel builds. The role requires attention to detail, strong communication, and a track record of quality work across teams on the factory floor.

You will read blueprints, wire to specifications, troubleshoot circuits, and work with low/high voltage equipment while adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Journeyman or higher level with 5+ years of experience.
• Experience in control wiring and specification.
• Ability to read electrical blueprints and work from schematics.
• Knowledge of electrical theory and terminology.
• Experience with low and high voltage equipment (24, 48, 120, 277, 480 V).
• Experience running industrial equipment such as forklift, boom lift, overhead crane, etc.

Responsibilities

• Routing and bundling wires to meet wiring standards and specifications.
• Electrical and control wiring for panels.
• Spec control wiring for panel builds.
• Troubleshooting and resolving problems in electrical circuits, systems, panels, and equipment.
• Point-to-point wiring of relays, controls, PLCs, I/O modules, VFDs, interfaces, and instrumentation.
• Layout enclosures and back panels; bending pipe and pulling wire.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Routing and bundling of wires and cables neatly to meet wiring standards and specifications.
• Electrical and control wiring

• Troubleshooting and resolving problems in electrical circuits, systems, panels, and equipment.

• Communicating redline changes to engineer/team lead for revision prior to completion.
• Communicating effectively with all team members, leads, builders, engineers, and project manager.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a journeyman or higher level with 5+ years of experience.
• Has experience in control wiring and specification.
• Possesses the ability to read electrical blueprints and work from schematics.
• Has knowledge of electrical theory and terminology,
• Has experience working with low and high voltage equipment, 24, 48, 120, 277, 480 volts.
• Has experience running industrial equipment such as forklift, boom lift, overhead crane, etc.
• Possesses knowledge of electrical components such as switches, circuit breakers, motor starters, etc.
• Has extensive knowledge of electrical codes.
• Has general industrial maintenance experience.
• Is preferably OSHA 10-hour certified.
• Possesses critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
