Job description

Our client, a leader in the electrical services industry, is seeking a Journeyman Electrician to join their team. As a Journeyman Electrician, you will be part of the maintenance department supporting various production teams. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety, which will align successfully with the organization.

Job Details

• Job Title: Journeyman Electrician
• Location: Anoka, MN
• Pay Range: $68,000 - $100,000 annually
• Position Type: Direct Hire - Perm
• Shift: 3rd Shift; 10PM - 6AM or 11PM - 7AM

Responsibilities

1. Perform preventive maintenance on all production equipment to ensure optimal functionality and minimize downtime.
2. Diagnose and repair equipment issues related to electrical systems, controls, and PLCs, ensuring minimal disruption to production processes.
3. Construct and modify electrical circuits and distribution equipment in accordance with NEC requirements.
4. Maintain accurate records of repairs and modifications, updating equipment files as necessary.
5. Assist in the integration, start-up, and debugging of new or relocated equipment.

Qualifications

1. Valid MN Electrician license (minimum Journeyman) or ability to obtain within 30 days.
2. Proficiency in reading electrical prints, including European style, and adherence to Electric Code rules.
3. At least 4 years of electric/mechanical maintenance experience.
4. PLC certification or demonstrated troubleshooting, programming, and installation skills.
5. Familiarity with Rockwell, Siemens PLC and HMI systems is a plus.
