Needed: Journeyman Electrician in East Fishkill, NY

$32-$35 p/h

Summary of Role:

Industrial Trade Services is seeking an experienced Medium Voltage Electrical Technician in East Fishkill, NY to operate and maintain switchgear, load centers, starters, and their subsystems supporting a semiconductor manufacturing facility and other campus buildings. These systems include 13.2kV Distribution Switchgear, 4160V & 2480V Substations, Motor Starters, Load Centers, Emergency Generators, Transformers, and related devices. The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter, capable of working in a team, with strong communication skills and schedule flexibility, as some weekend work may be required. The position is for 1st shift (M-F) with overtime and emergency call-ins as needed.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Adhere to Personal/Personnel and Equipment Safety Procedures and Practices.
• Write and execute switching orders for Medium Voltage Distribution and Equipment.
• Secure, “Buzz & Ground”, diagnose, test, perform preventative maintenance, and re-energize Medium Voltage Equipment and Distribution systems.
• Test and calibrate breakers and trip units.
• Perform equipment PMs and maintenance tasks with minimal supervision.
• Coordinate with Engineering on system and equipment issues.
