Dave’s World is seeking a Journeyman Residential Electrician in Scarborough, ME to perform residential electrical service work and support HVAC operations while ensuring code compliance. The role requires strong residential wiring knowledge and excellent customer service, with a focus on safety and quality.

You will diagnose, repair, install panels, EV chargers, and other components, while maintaining professional communication with customers and the office team.

Competenze

• Active Maine Journeyman+ electrical license required.
• Residential electrical service and repair experience.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of residential wiring methods, electrical systems, and codes.
• Ability to manage service calls from diagnosis through completion.

The Journeyman Electrician will perform residential electrical service work, support HVAC operations, ensure code compliance, and serve as the electrical subject matter expert for the organization. What You’ll Do

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain residential electrical systems.
• Install and replace panels, breakers, circuits, outlets, switches, lighting, ceiling fans, and other electrical components.
• Complete service upgrades, wiring repairs, dedicated circuits, and electrical system improvements.
• Install EV chargers, generators, surge protection, smoke detectors, and other residential electrical equipment.
• Perform electrical safety inspections and identify code, safety, or performance concerns.
• Clearly explain findings and present homeowners with appropriate repair or replacement options.
• Obtain customer authorization before beginning work.
• Identify opportunities to recommend additional products or services that improve safety, reliability, or convenience.
• Prepare accurate estimates and complete service documentation using company software.
• Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code, local requirements, and company standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while protecting customers’ homes.
• Maintain assigned vehicle inventory, tools, equipment, and materials.
• Communicate professionally with customers, office staff, and coworkers.
• Participate in required meetings, technical training, and professional development.

What We’re Looking For
