Job summary

Veracity Electric seeks a skilled Journeyman Electrician to perform electrical installations, support project productivity, mentor apprentices, and uphold safety and workmanship standards. The role focuses on commercial and industrial work, requiring independence and strong customer service.

You will read blueprints, install wiring and fixtures, and ensure adherence to codes. Travel may be required; a valid license and drug screening are prerequisites.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years electrical experience in commercial or industrial environments.
• Experience completing projects independently from start to finish.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to pass a drug screening.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Willingness to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Execute wiring plans for lighting, intercom, power distribution, and other systems.
• Install electrical fixtures, lighting systems, and alarms.
• Install and maintain distribution and safety components: switches, breakers, disconnects, panels.
• Connect wiring in circuits and networks ensuring code compliance.
• Assemble/install conduit systems and route conductors.
• Perform preventive maintenance: inspect, repair, replace wiring/components.
• Diagnose malfunctions and hazards; perform repairs.
• Interpret blueprints, specs, drawings.
• Mentor apprentices in skills and safe practices.
• Maintain productivity with quality workmanship and standards.
• Promote safety and follow procedures on every site.
• Complete work accurately within timelines.
• Perform other duties to support project success.

Position Overview

Veracity Electric is seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to perform electrical installations, support project productivity, mentor apprentices, and maintain the highest standards of safety and workmanship. The ideal candidate is experienced in commercial and industrial electrical work, capable of working independently, and committed to delivering quality results while upholding company values.

As a Journeyman Electrician, you will:

• Execute electrical wiring plans for lighting, intercom, power distribution, and other electrical systems.
• Install electrical apparatus, fixtures, lighting systems, and alarm systems.
• Install and maintain electrical distribution and safety components, including switches, breakers, disconnects, and panels.
• Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks while ensuring compatibility and code compliance.
• Assemble and install conduit systems and route conductors through raceways.
• Perform preventative maintenance by inspecting, repairing, and replacing wiring and electrical components.
• Diagnose electrical malfunctions, hazards, and system failures and perform necessary repairs.
• Interpret blueprints, specifications, and electrical drawings.
• Mentor and assist apprentices in developing technical skills and safe work practices.
• Maintain productivity while ensuring quality workmanship and compliance with company standards.
• Follow all safety procedures and promote a culture of safety on every jobsite.
• Complete assigned work accurately and within project timelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support project success.

Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years of electrical experience in commercial or industrial environments.
• Experience completing projects independently from start to finish.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to accurately identify conductors and perform electrical testing.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel as required.
• Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to pass a drug screening.

Preferred Qualifications

• Tenant Improvement (Class A) project experience.
• Experience with lighting control systems.
• Experience mentoring apprentices and leading small crews.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification.

This position regularly requires:

• Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and climbing for extended periods.
• Working from ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, and elevated work platforms.
• Working alongside other trades in active construction environments.
• Exposure to dust, dirt, noise, heat, humidity, and wet conditions.
• Lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling materials and equipment up to 75 pounds.
• Frequent travel to project locations, including overnight stays as required.
• Overtime, weekend work, and extended hours to meet project schedules and deadlines.
• Safe operation of aerial lifts and jobsite equipment.
