We design, build, and operate the world’s largest autonomous logistics system, delivering critical supplies quickly and reliably. Today, Zipline operates on four continents, makes a delivery somewhere in the world every 30 seconds, and has completed millions of deliveries to date, including blood, vaccines, medical supplies, food, and retail products.

Our customers include the world’s largest and most prominent healthcare systems, governments, retailers, restaurants and global businesses who rely on us to save lives, reduce emissions, increase economic opportunity, and provide delivery from point A to point B as fast as possible. The drone is only 15% of what we’ve built to enable seamless, reliable, global operations.

Our system strengthens supply chains, reduces congestion, and gives people time back. With more than 140 million commercial autonomous miles safely flown, Zipline is redefining access to healthcare, consumer products, and food across the globe.

We operate at a global scale and are looking for practical problem solvers who thrive on real-world challenges and rapid growth. Our team is motivated by building systems that have a direct, meaningful impact on people’s lives and by scaling the future of logistics. We are seeking people who sculpt from first principles, enjoy facing adversity, and can do the impossible at record breaking speeds.

About You And The Role

Zipline’s delivery operations rely on ground systems that are safe, correctly installed, and available when sites need them. As a Ground Systems Journeyman Electrician, you will build and sustain the electrical and network infrastructure that supports those operations at new and operating sites. You will own field‑installation quality, maintenance, and troubleshooting within published standards and procedures. Excellent work means sites are commissioned with verified installations, complete records, resolved corrective actions, and reliable systems ready for operation.

What You’ll Do
  • Install, configure, and commission electrical and network ground systems at new Zipline sites.
  • Verify installation quality against electrical standards, construction drawings, published manuals, and SOPs before site handoff.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical, networking, and system faults affecting site installations, modifications, or availability.
  • Perform maintenance and upgrades to preserve safe operation, uptime, and reliability.
  • Document installations, surveys, maintenance actions, troubleshooting steps, and ticket resolutions in company systems.
  • Own corrective actions within established procedures; engage engineering on issues requiring design decisions or support beyond field standards.
  • Maintain accountability for tools, calibration equipment, vehicles, and site installation assets.
What You’ll Bring
  • Electrical trades background with hands‑on experience in light commercial electrical and networking systems; electrician licensure is preferred.
  • Ability to read and apply construction drawings, technical documentation, installation standards, manuals, and SOPs.
  • Demonstrated safety discipline for mechanical, electrical, and automation systems; OSHA 30 is preferred.
  • Experience with inventory, material handling equipment, and mechanical or electrical assembly work.
  • Comfort working outdoors year‑round in changing weather conditions and lifting or moving up to 55 pounds.
  • Ability to support days, evenings, weekends, and other shift schedules as needed.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and willingness to travel more than 80% during the first three months, then up to 20% as needed.
