Job description

As a Certified Journeyman Electrician at PAIC Solar, you will work on various projects including training and mentoring Electricians, installing solar systems, servicing existing customers, and exploring new technologies such as energy storage.

Responsibilities:

Your technical expertise will be needed to:

• Lead electrical system installations that connect solar arrays to the grid on residential properties.
• Ensure all electrical work meets quality standards and complies with NEC and local codes.
• Complete solar battery installations as assigned.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical system issues.
• Plan and execute Main Panel Upgrades (MPU) safely.
• Collaborate with team members and homeowners on system upgrades and repairs.
• Mentor and train team members on best practices and prepare them for future roles.
• Work with inspectors and team members as a subject matter expert to improve installation quality and pass rates.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Travel within 200 miles is required.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Motivated individual with preferred 1 year of solar electrical installation and repair experience.
• Experience with wiring up to 600 VDC and 480 VAC.
• Proficient in replacing residential electrical services and panels.
• Ability to perform the duties of a Certified Journeyman Electrician.
• Valid Journeyman License/Electrician Certification per local/state requirements.
• Clean driving record and ability to pass background check; must be 21+ with a valid driver’s license.
• Experience mentoring Electricians.
• Strong safety and customer service focus.

Physical Demands:

• Transport materials up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Work on rooftops, involving bending, climbing, kneeling, and balancing.
• Work in confined spaces and outdoor conditions, including extreme weather.
• Perform fine motor tasks and handle protective equipment safely.
• Work at heights and in various lighting conditions.
• Distinguish colors like red, black, yellow, white, and green.
• Hear verbal commands and warnings clearly.
