Job summary

R&D Specialties in Texas is seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician to oversee electrical projects across industrial and commercial sites in Odessa. You will lead installation, maintenance, and repair work, ensure schedules meet deadlines, and uphold safety and quality standards.

You will mentor a team of electricians, read blueprints, review plans, and ensure compliance with local codes. A valid Journeyman license, strong leadership, and reliable transportation are required; background checks

Qualifications

  • Valid Journeyman Electrician license and 3+ years in industrial/commercial electrical.
  • PLC experience preferred but not required.
  • Experience leading electrical projects and teams.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and safety standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate electrical installation, maintenance, and repair activities on various projects.
  • Lead and mentor a team of electricians, ensuring high standards of workmanship and safety.
  • Review project plans, specifications, and blueprints to ensure accurate execution.
  • Ensure all work complies with local electrical codes, safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Schedule and prioritize daily tasks to meet project deadlines and budgets.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and enforce safety protocols among team members.
  • Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to facilitate smooth project progress.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, materials used, and safety reports.

Requirements
  • Valid Journeyman Electrician license and relevant certifications or 3+ experience in industrial/commercial electrical

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
