Job summary

KODIAK Construction Recruiting & Staffing seeks an experienced Journeyman Electrician to lead commercial and industrial electrical projects. The role supervises field operations while maintaining quality, safety and productivity on site.

Responsibilities include supervising installation, alterations, and repairs, reading blueprints, coordinating with the superintendent, and directing crews. A valid driver's license, tools, and NEC knowledge are required; state license preferred.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of commercial and/or industrial electrical experience.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of the current National Electrical Code (NEC).

  • Perform all duties of lower electrical classifications as needed.
  • Work under the direction of the Superintendent and/or Field Operations Manager.
  • Lead and direct Helpers, Electricians, Leadmen, and Area Foremen.
  • Plan and lay out work in accordance with project schedules, drawings, and specifications.
  • Develop short-term look-ahead schedules and pre-task plans.
  • Maintain required project documentation, reports, and company forms.
  • Track and submit daily project timesheets.
  • Attend project meetings and coordinate with other trades, contractors, and owners.
  • Evaluate crew performance, productivity, and work quality.

Job description

Requirements


  • Valid driver's license.

  • Reliable transportation to and from job sites.

  • Required hand tools (per company hire packet).

  • Proficiency with electric, battery-powered, and manual electrical tools, including conduit benders and knockout cutters.

  • Ability to operate company vehicles when required.
