Position Summary

The Journeyman Electrician coordinates work with Maintenance staff, Lead Electrician, and Contractors. Works closely with production to improve safety and equipment performance. Responsible for the upkeep and proper functioning of electrical equipment and systems.

Major Tasks

• Work under supervision of Lead Electrician and Maintenance Manager.
• Ensure proper functionality of electrical equipment.
• Follow safety rules and regulations.
• Handle electrical testing and repair equipment appropriately.
• Maintain inventory records and order spare parts.
• Update electrical logs and read electrical prints.
• Schedule routine checks and attend training activities.
• Coordinate work with co-workers and other departments.
• Read and troubleshoot complex PLC programs.
• Complete assigned tasks and duties.

Skill Requirements

• Good computer skills, including PLC software, Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to identify and troubleshoot electrical malfunctions and modify PLC programs.
• Experience with electrical tools and equipment.
• Effective time management and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Valid Oregon General or Manufacturing Plant Electrician license.
• 2-3 years of PLC troubleshooting and repair experience in an industrial setting.

• Ability to pass physical, background, and drug screening.
