The primary responsibilities of the Journeyman Electrician are to work directly with the Electrical Field Operations Manager to coordinate electrical construction jobs and projects, ensuring efficient use of time and resources. Responsibilities include planning, organizing, and controlling resources to maximize productivity and meet project budgets. The Journeyman Electrician will also assist as the Electrical Lead, helping ensure quality and proper training of Crew Leaders and Helpers, demonstrating proficiency in all duties.

Primary Duties

• Attend and contribute to pre-construction meetings upon request.
• Report to the Electrical Field Operations Manager and act as an extension of this role.
• Participate in on-site coordination meetings with customers and sales staff as requested.
• Promote and enforce company policies and safety procedures.
• Read and interpret blueprints, plans, sketches, or specifications to determine installation methods.
• Coordinate with local officials to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Stage and select materials based on instructions and industry standards.
• Lay out and mark work areas for system components.
• Operate tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Collaborate with other crew members to ensure continuity of work.

Planning Activities

• Set personal goals with apprentices based on schedules and budgets.
• Review safety protocols and develop JSAs for daily work.
• Ensure all tools and materials are prepared before work begins.
• Develop crew schedules and resource plans with management.

Safety Activities

• Comply with JF Petroleum Group safety policies and OSHA requirements.
• Participate in safety programs and identify potential hazards.
• Ensure proper safety equipment is used.
• Report and assist in investigating accidents.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license and state Electrical Journeyman license.
• Ability to pass drug, background, and MVR checks.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and perform physical tasks for 8-10 hours daily.
