Journeyman: Starting pay ranging from $34 to $40 per hour, with an additional 8% shift premium applied for 2nd shift or a 6% shift premium for 3rd shift.

Summary:

Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical equipment to ensure continuous production, execute regular preventive maintenance plan (TPM) and modify equipment as needed. This position is focused on PLC controls-related work and will be involved with mechanical or electrical work as needed and as qualified.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform technical or electrical work to troubleshoot, repair, and modify equipment, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
  • Check equipment regularly to ensure normal operating activity.
  • Coordinate with outside sources to schedule maintenance for more complex issues.
  • Track and document repairs.
  • Perform regular preventative maintenance.
  • Maintain a safe work environment.
  • Monitor data from measuring devices.
  • Work in a clean room and climate-controlled environment.
  • Complete additional projects as assigned (e.g., wiring new sensors, gathering materials, sizing wire).
  • Perform physical tasks such as lifting, climbing ladders, and assembling large and small part assemblies and components.
  • Fill in for other technicians as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards:
    • Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain.
    • Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container.
  • Follow LGESMI existing cleaning SOP’s during downtime (e.g. line stop, waiting time, etc.), which includes cleaning your designated machine and/or surrounding work area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Vocational Certificate or Associates Degree preferred or equivalent, relevant experience.
  • Journeyman license preferred.

Experience:

  • Pneumatic and hydraulics experience.
  • 3 to 5+ years of experience preferred.
  • Manufacturing experience preferred.
