Encore Electric, Inc. in Fort Collins, CO is seeking a Journeyman Electrician to supervise Apprentices and other Journeymen on commercial electrical construction and service work. Expect 40–58 hours weekly with a competitive hourly rate and site incentives.

The role requires a Journeyman Wireman license or reciprocal state, a strong safety mindset, and the ability to train and mentor apprentices. Excellent benefits and long-term opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Four years of apprenticeship training or three years with two-year degree from technical college.
• Journeyman Wireman license from Wyoming or reciprocal state required.
• High energy and sense of urgency preferred.

OVERVIEW:

The Journeyman directs the tasks of Apprentices and potentially other Journeymen electricians and participates in commercial electrical construction and service work.

• COMPENSATION: $34.00 - $40.00 per hour (plus a job site incentive when applicable)

• HOURS: 40-58 hours per week, Mon-Sat (schedule subject to change)

Physical Requirements:

A functional physical is required to be completed and passed before work can be performed in all field positions. The physical requirements can often be completed repetitively and for extended periods of time. These requirements include:

• Driving

• Lifting, floor to chest (up to 50lbs)

• Lifting, floor to waist (up to 50lbs)

• Lifting, waist to overhead (up to 30lbs each arm)

• Carrying (up to 50lbs)

• Standing

• Stooping

• Vision acuity (near, far and without color deficiencies)

• Kneeling

• Trimming (final installation of electrical devices)

• Pushing (up to 100lbs)

• Pulling (up to 100lbs)

Requirements:

• Degree in related field is required such as four years of apprenticeship training or three years of apprenticeship training with two year degree from technical college.

• A Journeyman Wireman’s license from the State of Wyoming or reciprocating State is required. High level of energy and sense of urgency are preferred.
