Journeyman Electrician or Master
Pay: $28.00 to $35.00 /hr.** Negotiable
Shift: (6 AM-3 PM Mon- Fri or 8 PM - 4 AM Sun -Thu)
Must be available for night work.

The Role:
The Journeyman/Journeywoman Electrician plans layout, Installs, and repairs electrical systems including equipment to provide the safe condition and operation of all electrical fixtures and systems according to the required specification of the task or projects.

Scope of Responsibilities:
The Position involves the running of fiber optic cable in the communication and power space, in underground infrastructure, working in manholes, ISP work, and whatever duties are assigned.

Journeyman/Journeywoman Electrician is responsible for maintaining the safety of the crew including:
  • Install and repair wiring, electrical fixtures, power equipment, and components of machinery and equipment following electrical code, manuals, specifications, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Install and repair control and distribution apparatus, including motors, relays, switches, thermostats, circuits, breaker panels, etc.
  • install and connect power supply wiring, cables, conduit, and electrical apparatus for machines and equipment in new and existing facilities following diagrams, schematics, or blueprints.
  • Diagnose and resolve problems in electrical circuits, systems, and equipment using testing instruments.
  • Test continuity of circuits to ensure compatibility and safety of components using testing instruments.
  • Measure cut, bend, thread, assemble and install electrical conduit using rulers, measuring devices, hand tools, pipe threader, and conduit bender.
  • receive and complete work orders.
  • Select material and hardware and make time and materials estimates.
  • Maintain inventory of company-owned tools, equipment, and materials.
  • inspect jobs upon completion and ensure areas are clean.
  • Work with building principals and supervisors.
Requirements:
  • MINIMUM 5 years experience in the electrical field.
  • Valid Texas - Journeyman/Journeywoman’s License (TDLR).
  • Must be available to work nights if needed.
  • Excellent oral/written communication and presentation skills, professional presence.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Knowledge of electrical circuits and writing and operating principles of motors.
  • Knowledge of local Electrical Codes.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and written reference material.
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations.
  • Diagnose and resolve problems.
