The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of experience, a Massachusetts Journeyman license, and the ability to work independently or with a team on road-based projects.

Qualifications

• Valid Massachusetts Journeyman license or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the electrical trade.
• Proficient in reading blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and safety practices.
• Experience with high voltage systems preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in commercial and residential settings
• Perform high voltage electrical work, ensuring compliance with safety regulations
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the layout of electrical systems
• Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as framers and carpenters, to coordinate electrical installations during construction or renovation projects
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and make necessary repairs or replacements
• Test electrical systems using specialized tools to ensure proper functioning and safety
• Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used

Experience

• Journeyman/Journeywoman Electrician license or equivalent certification
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the electrical trade
• Proficient in blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and safety practices
• Experience working with high voltage systems is preferred
